Bonuses & Promotions

5 / 10

Wazobet currently offers a welcome bonus of 110% up to 55000 NGN/220 USD. To receive the bonus, simply register at the bookmaker and deposit a minimum of 100 NGN /1 USD. However, you won’t be be able to access the bonus money to make bets until you’ve bet that amount 5 times on accumulator bets with at least 4 selections and total odds no less than 1.35.

Their second-largest promo is weekly cashback. You will get 7% to 12% (VIP) depending on your weekly deposits. To get 7%, you have to make at least one deposit per week, for 10% you need to top up balance minimum of 5 days per week. Another promo which is targeted not to reward, but instead to get more money from you.

*Remember to read the terms and conditions of each offer to know what requirements are stipulated.

Odds

7 / 10

The odds on big soccer matches are on par with the market average. The opposite situation is with second and third echelon leagues as margins on them will vary from 8 to 11%. To beat such odds, you have to be an expert in a specific league, or you can rely on predictions from the expert team of MightyTips.

Mobile

6 / 10

We have mixed feelings about Wazobet’s usage on different platforms and devices.

Here is how we would rate it in terms of quality of features:

  • Mobile web version works extremely fast. Can reach any site section in matters of seconds. Both iOS and Android devices can use the Wazobet mobile version. It offers all the same products and services as its desktop counterpart. Placing a bet is easy as pie, and requires only a few taps. Each category is neatly organized and user-friendly.
  • The desktop experience is user-friendly and overall intuitive.
  • Opera mini interaction with Wazobet is awful. Site is not adapted for those who save their internet data traffic.

All of that aside, there is no downloadable app. This is disappointing as many players prefer apps for mobile betting. High enough demand may bring about a WazoBet app in the future.

Usability

7 / 10

WazoBet is a Nigerian-based betting and casino website. It joined the online gambling industry in 2018.

WazoBet offers registration within seconds via email or mobile phone. During account creation, you will be offered to choose between USD or NGN for the nominal account currency. And there is an actual difference, by choosing Naira (NGN) your min possible deposit for all payment methods will be only 100 NGN. While choosing USD min deposit limit increases to 5USD.

  • Limitations
  • No live streaming
  • Withdrawals available only to initial deposit methods
  • 10% to 20% Withdrawal Fee if a deposit is not rolled over 3x times
  • No Android/iOS app available

Types of Bets

6 / 10

The default setup of standard sports is provided for the customer.

All the popular markets like football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, baseball, American football, motorsports, Aussie rules, badminton, bandy, boxing, cricket, darts, golf, futsal, handball, ice hockey, rugby, snooker, water polo, MMA, cycling are provided. You won’t find any unordinary offers like TV shows/Politics/Music/Movie awards betting here.

On the other hand, it’s a pleasure to see that more and more African bookmakers get closer to esports betting. For now, there are only significant sports like Counter-Strike, LoL, Dota 2, Rainbow Six provided. However, we are sure this market will continue to grow.

Credibility

5 / 10

WazoBet Nigeria is regulated and licensed by the Curacao Gaming Association internationally. Locally, it is licensed by the Lagos State Lottery Board. You won’t find any complaints about them on the web. Somehow it must be related to low maximum cashout amounts (only 100 000 NGN for single cashout), so theoretically there can be no complaints about some significant withdrawal sums.

There are some shady spots in their T&Cs.

We have created a test account and were allowed to deposit.

wazobet terms and conditions
Most likely, we will be banned after trying to cash out our funds due to violating their rules.

There is also a suspicious area around crypto payments. You are allowed to DEPOSIT, but CAN NOT withdrawal in Bitcoin. This is something we see for the first time.

Wazobet, like most of the bookmakers, asks their customers to prove their identity. However, we found an interesting point in their terms and conditions:

9.4.3. The procedure of identification takes place if the amount of transaction is naira 10,000 (~25usd) or more.

Hence small bettors can easily play there without verification if they do not exceed 10,000 NGN cash out limit.

Payment Methods

5 / 10

Deposits

Overall, 10 payment options are available to top your balance. The min deposit sum is only 100 NGN. A client who made a one time deposit that exceeds 77,777 automatically gets a VIP status. It has some benefits over the other users such as prioritized support and “access to the hidden services of the gambling club”.

That’s what Wazobet T&Cs say, whatever it means.

Withdrawals

Here comes the bad part of the story. Seven available cash out options from which 5 are bank transfers and the rest are Skrill + Payz

Wazobet T&Cs: 9.4.2

Hence, if you deposited via Verve, Quickteller, Bitcoin or Litecoin, you have no legal option to cash out your money. Be careful with that!

Important! Withdrawal requests are usually in “standby mode” within 24 hours after creating a request.

  • The minimum withdrawal amount at Wazobet is 500 NGN / 10 USD.
  • The maximum withdrawal amount is 100,000 NGN / 300 USD.
  • The monthly withdrawal limit is 2,500,000 NGN (thresholds can be extended through customer support)
    • *Amount of withdrawal requests per day/month is unlimited.

Support

6 / 10

Wazobet contact options for customer support are limited. There is no WazoBet contact option for telephone support. Customers can reach them only by a WazoBet live chat option or by email. We assume that they do not welcome supporting their clients via email as it’s completely hidden in the website and can be found only in their T&Cs page.

The WazoBet live chat agents are quite friendly and willing to help. The response time is quick, 1-3 minutes. But, they show a lack of competence. Instead of answering your questions directly they prefer to tell you where to go to find your answer or copy/paste pre-made templates.

We tested the WazoBet live chat over several days by asking agents different questions. For example, what payment methods were accepted. The answer was to look in the deposit section. This was completely unhelpful, as no “deposit section” exists unless you are already a member attempting to make a deposit.

Also, it took almost 15 minutes of interaction to confirm that Bitcoin withdrawals are unavailable. Still, these support guys are very friendly. ??

Overall

5.9 / 10

Let’s end off this review by taking a quick recap of the features available at Wazobet betting site.

The Wazobet sportsbook bonus and promos offer is a disaster. A customer gets a 777 NGN Free Bet, which actually can’t be withdrawn without a ton of deposits made. The big con is a lack of First Deposit Bonus, which makes Wazobet a huge underdog compared to other sites with classic first deposit bonus options.

The only advantage is a weekly 7% to 12% Cashback of deposits, but are we here at a sportsbook for depositing or cashing out money?

  • Limitations
  • No live streaming
  • Withdrawals available only to initial deposit methods
  • Withdrawal Fee if a deposit is not rolled over 3x times
  • No Android/iOS app availavble
  • An overall lack of payment methods for withdrawals

Absence of an Android/iOS app also doesn’t speak over Wazobet pros. On top of that, Wazobet hasn’t optimized their website to Opera mini users. We tested it from several devices, and the most enjoyable was the mobile version.

Can’t say a lot about odds – they are close to the market average. Types of bets are pretty classic as mostly, Nigerians are interested in football, and you won’t find here any rare markets like curling or betting on TV shows.

Players must be careful with Wazobet’s withdrawal policy. Forget about fast withdrawals because withdrawal requests are usually in “standby mode” within 24 hours after creating a request. Moreover, cashouts are only available to the initial deposit methods. So, Bitcoin deposits are allowed but are illegal to cash out, according to their T&Cs.

An account can be opened in a few clicks, and there is no identity verification for transactions under 10 000 NGN, which in our opinion makes it an opportunity for underaged (-18) betting.

Overall, if 777 NGN non-deposit bonus was multiplied 10x+ times through a few successful predictions, it could be worth depositing. Otherwise, we do not recommend playing at Wazobet as there are better alternatives on the market.
